because knowing is half the battle

about Teletypewriter

This is a space for the dissection and discussion of the immediate world which surrounds us. Social commentary, critical observation, pithy phrases and tongue in cheek clichés will all be potential contemporary and dynamic discourses employed as this collaborative effort unfolds. Preference will be given to the arts, humanities, cute things, grammar, outer space, music and occasionally the ridiculous.

about the authors

Ian Drinkwater & Desirée Rambunctious

Ian graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2008 with an undergraduate degree in Anthropology and a minor in Art History. Currently employed, he is biding his time until he gives into his ambition of pursuing his masters in Museum Studies. He has five houseplants, a bicycle, and enjoys light to moderate graphic design, music, and spending time with his family.

Desirée is finishing up her B.A. at Hampshire College this year. She is currently in the process of writing her undergraduate thesis on the philosophical problem and intersections of language, intersubjectivity, and responsibility in the philosophies of Martin Heidegger and Emmanuel Levinas. When she isn’t working on her thesis or contributing to Teletypewriter, Desirée bakes cupcakes of all varieties, practices the fine art of turntablism and skratching in her living room, and cultivates a fondness for non-human animal Others.
